CHARRED LANDSCAPES / 2017
Charred Landscapes is a series exploring a way to combine my love of food, still life and landscape photography. The images are created by combining fats and sugars and “burning them” in the oven at high tempertures. While the images are not Photoshoped in any way I do manipulate the tint and saturations during processing in order to move the images towrds a more mystic landscape palette. The images are printed on a hot press cotton rag paper which softens them a bit and bring an earthy texture.
